Ho-Ho-Hoooolland!
Home of the Bambeats family, I didn’t know how to talk about this Dutch collective in a few lines, then Georges (part of the Pushin Wood Soundsystem) did it for me, so let me just express all my RESPECT and let’s get introduced by himself:
Being 30 and thirsty most of us right now, we feel like setting the whole world on fire.
Making albums, mixtapes, documentaires, soundtracks, beats, graffiti, paintings, deco, parties and now releasing our first comic book (created by 2W).
A truly unique and very limited product because it comes with a 7″ soundtrack made on an MPC, and that track premieres right here in this mix.
The 3rd of November is our Bambeats night in Groningen represented by Dj Irie & El Pres ( New live MPC & live scratching video set with this DMC champion),
Dj Kwak ( Known for the best Funk Parties in Belgium) & Dj Format ( Yes, the legendary one ).
So we made this a mix of those guys, their friends, and our crew.
If you like the tracks, a pre-order for the book and other stuff we do is on our website (bambeats.net).
Enjoy!”
A funky family doing a crazy party, with fat beats and a solid line-up, promoting a groovy comic book and its soundtrack on limited 7″…
Seriously what else you need?? Maybe a free mixtape that helps you going through all this stuff?
Get it!

Six months! Is it slow enough?
Something happened… But we don’t want to talk about it right now.
Coming back really slow, this could be a good idea! All Good Funk Alliance provided a perfect soundtrack to get the point: the second episode of the “Late Night Workshop”.
We left them just before the release of their 4th studio album “Jacks of All Trades”, released this spring. The duo spent the next several months touring heavily and playing festivals from coast to coast and in Canada. Shambhala Festival and Burning Man were major highlights. The summer saw the release of the Instrumental version of the album, and next month there will be a Jacks of All Trades Remixed album with remixes from some of the world’s hottest producers covering a range of styles and sounds.
Enjoy and stay tuned!

Spring has come and Nickodemus did a mixtape for us… True story!
He blended a super fine selection that is going to keep you on the sunny side of the street.
First half is a little showcase from his own label Wonderwheel Recordings, then he makes it one of a kind playing some gems like the remix for Flowering Inferno (Quantic’s latin-dub project) and the awesome “Message in a Bottle” remixed by Zeb “The Spy from Cairo”.
It’s a little journey into his “planetary sound”, let him bring the spring through your speakers!

“A sound that is funky, fun and fresh.”
I thought that this line from their bio, is all that you need to get intrigued by the sound of All Good Funk Alliance.
Made up of Frank Cueto and Rusty Belicek, the U.S. duo is “doing the right thing” on the Nu-Funk scene since 1999, being considered influential pioneers of the genre.
They are the newest artists to sign with Washington DC’s renegade funk and soul label, Fort Knox Recordings.
After having been friends and colleagues for over a decade, AGFA decided to release their next album on Fort Knox Five‘s own label. A genre-spanning release featuring go-go drums, spaced-out synths and funky bass-lines. It marks a new direction for All Good Funk Alliance, and is somewhat of a departure from their signature sound, but fans needn’t stress—this is one duo that never leaves the funk behind.
Before the album drops on May 1st, there will be an EP of all new tunes released on March 6th. The “Rhythm and FX EP” will be 4 solid tracks of the best in AGFA dancefloor funk. This exciting EP will be followed by the groundbreaking “Jacks of all Trades” LP by AGFA on May 1st.
It is going to be a very exciting spring for both Fort Knox Recordings and the All Good Funk Alliance, and until the spring come they keep warm the dancefloor with this mixtape.
