“Dancefloor-orientated beats and grooves inspired by the tropical flavours and rhythms of Brazil, with a touch of Gallic sophistication”.
It’s a perfect introduction to Azaxx, a French Dj/Producer, whose sets are “an eclectic cocktail of Latin, jazz, soul, funk, rare groove, breakbeat, broken beat, and ‘60s / ‘70s groove”. Back in 2009 he joined one of my favourite label: Tru-Thoughts, releasing ‘The Exotic Delight Bay’, and you can find some of his remixes on the “Shapes 10:02″ compilation. Recently he teamed up with Diesler (check his mixtape for Thirty Thirsty) and they are working to an LP project, but I can’t say nothing more, just stay tuned!
In the meanwhile he shared with us a little showcase of his productions, adding a Brazil classic from 70′s and two brand new productions from Jalapeno and First Word.
Enjoy the tropical trip!
